Local Spotlight Customer: Crosby HRA

Crosby HRAThe Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Crosby was founded in 1966. It operates Dellwood and Edgewood apartment buildings that house 100 low-income elderly and disabled residents. There are also twenty family units scattered throughout the city. Rent is less than 30% of gross income. Preference is given to area residents and veterans.

The Authority conducts numerous tenant activities and social events in several community spaces. The Senior Nutrition Program provides noon meals int he Dellwood Community Room. Assisted Living services are available in all Dellwood and Edgewood apartments. Transportation to Crosby, Brainerd and other areas is provided by three transportation organizations. The hospital and Crosby downtown businesses are within walking distance.

Equal Housing OpportunityThe Authority has been computerized since 1989. Deerwood Technologies has recently helped the Authority upgrade its entire computer network to include more laborsaving capabilities. Their continued support has enabled the Authority to operate more efficiently.
