Jim Mayne has over 35 years of technology management experience. He has produced improved business results for customers of Deerwood Technologies and filled key roles in enterprise technology organizations at a variety of major financial institutions.
Jim has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas; a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota and an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification. He is a US Navy veteran.
He is active in area Chambers of Commerce, president of Deerwood Civic & Commerce and a member of both the Deerwood American Legion and the Brainerd Area Sertoma service clubs.
Jim and his wife, Sheila, enjoy various activities and outdoor events with their grandchildren, children and their extended family and friends in the Deerwood and Cuyuna Lakes areas.
Jim's experience with both commercial business and public sector agencies enables his firm to provide technology solutions tailored to each entity’s environment, goals and/or strategies.
Julie Nesseth has 30+ years of experience in a variety of business office environments. As purchasing manager Julie is in charge of Deerwood's national procurement operations as well as coordinating back office processes.
Julie is a self-motivated, organized and creative individual who understands the importance of providing quality business practices. She also documents and drives improvement in Deerwood Technologies’ general business, HR and administrative procedures and processes.
Julie was born and raised in the Crosby area and she and her husband Mike enjoy spending time with their children, grandchildren, family, friends, fishing (both winter & summer) and ice racing.
Wayne McClure has 19 years of experience in the Technology industry, with the last 4 years being at Deerwood Technologies. He has worked at several Central Minnesota computer businesses. Positions included Bench Technician, Commissioned Sales, Business Solutions Consultant, and Store Manager. He started his own business and began doing low voltage technology work in addition to computer sales and service. He has serviced business customers with anywhere from 1 to 500 employees, and enjoys helping customers grow their business.
Wayne graduated from Northwest Technical College, majoring in Electronics Technology. He is CompTIA A+ and Network+ certified, Shoretel Telephone Certified, and a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist. He is a MN Licensed Power Limited Technician and is ViaSat Satellite Internet certified. Wayne also holds several other vendor specific certifications.
Wayne was elected twice as President of his Church Council. He, along with his wife Robin, enjoy music, camping, road trips, and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Sheila Mayne has 30+ years of experience in a variety of businesses and industries. As logistics manager, Sheila is responsible for and ensuring product fulfillment as well as receiving and shipping activities meet customer expectations and service level agreements.
Sheila is a no-nonsense individual contributor and dependable team member. She regularly resolves problems quickly by getting to the root issue immediately. Her willingness to pitch-in to help with any task or project keeps things moving forward on a regular basis.
Sheila and her husband, Jim, host numerous company events and other social activities. They enjoy balancing as well as mixing work and play as much as possible.
Adrienne Christensen has over 14 years of experience in the Technology industry. She has held various positions in the technology field.
Adrienne graduated from Central Lakes College with AAS degrees in both General Network Administration and Information Technology. She is A+ certified and has many certifications from Microsoft including Microsoft Certitied Solutions Expert on Cloud Platform and Infrastructure and Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate on Windows 2012.
Adrienne grew up in Aitkin and has always been in the area. She enjoys all the activites central Minnesota has to offer.
Don Johnson has over 25 years’ experience working on computer systems and low voltage equipment - from Field Service, CAD, Software Support and Service Management.
He graduated Northwestern Electronics Institute with an Associate’s degree in electronics/computers and is an FCC licensed general radio operator.
Don is very motivated with a “can do anything” type attitude. His hobbies include car restoration, construction, plumbing, heating, electrical – and always enjoys the challenge of a new project.
As Deerwood Technologies’ Service Manager, Don will drive resolution of client support issues and ensure client satisfaction meets expectations. Don will also recommend changes to Deerwood Technologies services to fit clients’ needs as their business goals and IT environments change.
Born and raised in Eagan Minnesota, Don spent summers in Brainerd at the family cabin and also in Pillager at the family farm. He moved to Hinkley in 2001 and now lives in Garrison Minnesota.
Don enjoys spending time with kids and grandkids, fishing, hunting or just walking in the outdoors.
David Chong has lived in the Cuyuna Lakes area now for 11 years. He graduated from Aitkin High School in 2015 where he completed many college-level courses. He worked to receive his A.A. degree from Central Lakes College, the following year.
David worked at Lindar Corp in during 2016-2017 gaining significant work experience and attended the University of Minnesota Morris this past year. He also worked in the UM-Morris admissions office part-time performing a range of IT and other duties.
In his free time David attends concerts and music festivals with his friends and enjoys fishing. He likes playing and watching football and basketball, too. His biggest hobbies are computer gaming and making music.
As Deerwood Technologies’ first Sci-Tech Experience intern, David is learning many things about Managed CyberSecurity services first hand. He is quickly contributing by resolving client issues and responding to alerts and exceptions on our Network Operations Center and Security Operations Center service boards. He also works on internal projects and creates/updates many Standard Operating Procedures.
David plans to return to UM-Morris this fall, graduating in 2019 with a degree in Computer Science.
